A decade ago, A young Sara and Pablo met through a friend in common. From the very first moment, there was a strong connection between them. La finca Herradura is a boutique stately home surrounded by hectares of private woodland. Although it is located just outside the pueblo blanco of Vejer de la Frontera, it is easy to have the sensation that you are miles away from civilisation and the whole world is yours. Like Vejer, The finca rests on a hill and boasts breathtaking views of the nearby mountains.
Driving a few miles out of the city and into the mountains that border Cordoba, you will find La Vieja Cigarra resting on a hilltop overlooking the picturesque landscape that surrounds it. As you follow rustic signposts dotted along the road and drive up the flowery passageway into la vieja cigarra you feel as though you have entered some sort of mystical garden. The cool air breeze will wash over you as the scents of jasmine lavender and lemon trees fill your nostrils.
