Laid-back Luxury | A Spanish Hacienda Wedding
Experience laid-back luxury with this New York couple's four day destination wedding…
When this New York couple got in touch with us to describe how they envisioned their destination wedding in Spain, I thought I was dreaming.
Four days of culture, gastronomy, fashion, beauty, dancing, elegance, nature and love…What?!
Day 1 & 2
To kick off the festivities, Michelle and Padraig gathered their immediate families in an old bodega for an authentic wine tasting. The second evening took place in traditional Spanish courtyard, flamenco guitar played in the background, and delicious tapas were served throughout the night. The guests enjoyed the intimate and local vibes and the laid-back atmosphere that set the tone for the initial meet and greets.
It was on day three that things began to heat up.
The couple hosted a welcome party that infused their Indian and Irish cultures with the southern Spanish vibes in a dreamy architectural location by the sea. Unique cocktails and delicious finger foods were served with exotic twists, Irish and Indian dances were performed by the bride and her tribe before the eclectic DJ took the celebration to new heights.
Day four | The energy was escalating, everyone was ready for a wedding.
In a family run hacienda on a rustic farm surrounded by orange groves and breathtaking mountainous views, M and P say I do.
The outdoor ceremony is adorned with vibrant seasonal florals, and the bride's hand-embroidered floral statement veil adds a touch of Mexico, where Padraig had asked Michelle to be his wife.
After the vows, the guests are lead to the gardens for cocktails and canapes. Food stations and grazing tables are styled with local delicacies and flavorful dips and an alternative duo keep the atmosphere lively while guests enjoy roaming through the hanging floral installation, to look for their wedding favour: a traditional family recipes from the bride and groom.
As the sun lowers, they all enjoy a slow family style dinner on a curved table under warm lights, perfectly positioned to watch the landscape warming before cooling and then turning to blackness.
Night falls and with it epic moves and grooves on the dancefloor as the roaming band get the crowd going with their eclectic beats.

Stylish boho wedding in a Spanish Cortijo
An intimate outdoor destination wedding in…
Southern Spain is the land of old rustic Cortijos and this one sits in the midst of nature with stunning views and pretty courtyards. So why would a young hip Californian couple choose to get married in such a secluded spot? You’ll understand as soon as you start scrolling through the images, but before we do that, I want to tell you about our beautiful bride and groom and wedding you’re about to see.
THE WELCOME GATHERING
Sarah and Ian’s wedding experience starts intimately in a blooming cotton field. Ian, an artist, takes a moment to draw his bride to be as the sun sinks down behind the mountains, a beautiful moment and one of many more to be shared.
Their welcome gathering starts true Spanish style in a white-washed Andalusian village, where they informally catch up with their guests after their long flights over tapas and sangria and a gypsy flamenco show.
AN INTIMATE WEDDING IN NATURE
50 guests arrive to the venue just before sundown, welcomed with pretty flowers floating in champagne, they gather in the open garden to talk about last nights shenanigans. After a while, we lead the guests into the circular ceremony space. Moroccan Rugs, leather poufs and kilim cushions fill the first front rows creating an informal lighthearted mood. Cava in hand, guests seat themselves and mingle awaiting the bridal party to enter. Boho flower garlands hang from the trees to meet at the oldest olive tree in the centre, drawing all the attention to the wildly elegant alter. Our bride and groom and their bridesmaids and groomsmen make an emotional entrance into the wedding - the energy is palpable.
Tears, laughter, words spoken poetically precede a stylish cocktail hour of Spain’s finest canapés and wines. Just when the guests think that dinner is done, we lead them into a romantic open courtyard dimly lit with warm candlelight for a sizzling banquet feast cooked live in front of them. Earthy boho florals decorate the aged wooden tables, old ceramic tiles with handwritten calligraphy are used as the place settings and brass tableware and golden brown linens are key elements throughout the styling.
A few speeches and many bottles of wine later, the guests are ready to rock n roll. The party starts in the lush gardens by the pool, DJ Rodney drops a beat, disco lighting pierces through the darkness, the fully stocked bar opens and the guests hit the dance floor to dance the night away.
The greatest finale to last years wedding season.
